I started with zero wedding photography experience. Heck I didn’t even know how to use my camera in manual mode. But what I knew was I felt this deep sense of satisfaction when I photographed people. A connection that transcends from life to lens.
I feel this indescribable ✨ spark✨ the first time I took portraits of people when I travelled. And I’ve followed that spark ever since. And here I am, 5 years on, shooting people in love and the people they love.

Oh, where do I start! I think when it comes to art, sometimes we are our harshest critic. When I started, I tend to compare myself to other photographers because I’ve yet to find our own footing, style and points of inspirations. And with a thousand things pulling at me, you do feel unremarkable at times. But over the years, the most significant change has been confidence and that comes from experience and thinking to myself, “Heck, I’m great at this so why am I shortchanging myself. And I’m not doing justice to the couple and anyone else if I let these intrusive thoughts win”.
I’m not saying I don’t get jitters at times. It still happens, but that’s because you care so much and want the best outcome at the end of the day. So from day one to now, I’d say the biggest change has been how calm and assured I am walking into the wedding day.
Also, what’s great about Colossal is that we play by our own strengths.
